Do you not think it *might* be user error or a corrupted download of the OMOD (you *did* use the OMOD and not manual install, right?) rather than the mod being a POS? Regardless, I've already told you, try BT Mod, that's the other one that tends to come up if you look for a UI mod for Oblivion, but I've not personally used it as I tested DarNified first and decided to stick with it There's also DarkUI, but the non-DarN version is listed by the mod author as outdated and probably not stable, and superceded by the DarkUId DarN I think this is a standalone mod, so you wouldn't have to re-install DarNified, but I think I did try to install this at one point and had some sort of trouble with it, can't remember what, think it basically just wouldn't install. It is the second most popular Oblivion mod of all time on the Nexus. Once activated you will have to choose what options you want to install.ĭarNifiedUI is a well-made, popular mod with over 4600 endorsements, and appears on many, if not most 'best ever Oblivion mod' lists.

As for the OPs post, if you are referring to seeing the word 'Weapons' twice, then that is by design. The most recent advice I read suggest you should create an empty mod in MO2, & then configure the OBMM launch settings so that all files it 'creates' go into that rather than the overwrite directory. OBMM should open up and you will see Darnidifed UI in the box on the right. I love the Darnified Mod and it works great if you use the proper version of OBSE and avoid Nexus Mod Manager. Theoretically (it didnt work amazingly well for me) you can install the Oblivion Mod Manager (aka OBMM) & then run that from within MO2 to install OMOD files. It goes into the Oblivion folder where the exe is located.Įxtract or manually place the Darnified UI OMOD file into the Data folder.Ĭomputer-> Local Disc-> Program Files (x86 for 64 bit) Steam-> SteamApps-> common-> Oblivion-> DataĪfter you place the Omod into the Data folder, click on it.

In order to install OBSE, open the zip file and Copy obse_1_2_416.dll, obse_editor_1_2.dll, obse_steam_loader.dll and the Data folder to your Oblivion directory. It\'s goal is to rid the pc version of the horrid xbox interface. Next download Oblivion Mod Manager full installer and run the exeĭownload OBSE 0021 (You may not need OBSE for this mod, but OBSE is requirred for most mods to function, so it is a good idea to install it asap so you don't have to ask about it later.) This mod gives the Oblivion UI the most extensive facelift yet. Fonts are smaller, settings can be adjusted in game, user controls are scaled, more info on screen, and the hud is vastly improved. Its goal is to rid the pc version of the horrid xbox interface. First create an account with nexus mods if you haven't already. This mod gives the Oblivion UI the most extensive facelift yet.
